Homing a device in Korea (Seoul)¶
FlexGalaxy runs device connectivity in more than one region. A device connects to the region its account is homed in, so where your account lives decides which endpoint your devices use.
How your region is set¶
Your FlexGalaxy account is placed in a region when FlexGalaxy onboards you. This is a one-time placement: it is set during onboarding and cannot be changed afterwards.
If you need your account homed in Korea, tell your onboarding contact before your account is set up. Once your account is homed, its devices use that region’s endpoint.
Because the placement is permanent, it is worth confirming the region you want at onboarding rather than after.
Endpoints¶
A device connects over MQTT with mutual TLS on port 8883. A device in a Korea-homed account connects to:
things.ap-northeast-2.flexgalaxy.ai:8883
Use your own account’s device endpoint. A device that is configured with an origin outside its account’s region is refused. The complete list of regional endpoints, how a device selects the right one, and what a refusal looks like are documented in device connectivity for the device SDKs — that page is the single source for the endpoint list, so it is not repeated here.
Installing the CLI¶
curl -fsSL https://dl.flexgalaxy.ai/fgai/install.sh | bash
This installs the fgai command line. Current release: v0.1.83.
Download integrity can be checked against the published provenance record at https://dl.flexgalaxy.ai/fgai/latest/PROVENANCE.json, which carries the artifact’s SHA-256 and its Sigstore provenance.
