Device regions and the Korea (Seoul) endpoint¶
FlexGalaxy operates device connectivity in more than one region. The region is a property of the account, and a device connects to the endpoint of the region its account is homed in.
Placement is set once, at onboarding¶
An account is placed in a region when FlexGalaxy onboards it. The placement is set once and cannot be changed afterwards; there is no self-service move between regions.
If an account needs to be homed in Korea, that is requested through the onboarding contact before the account is created.
Device endpoints¶
Devices connect over MQTT with mutual TLS on port 8883. A device in a Korea-homed account connects to:
things.ap-northeast-2.flexgalaxy.ai:8883
A device configured with an origin outside its account’s region is refused. The complete endpoint list, origin selection, and the refusal behaviour on a mismatch are owned by the device SDK documentation — see device connectivity — which is the single source for that contract. The list is not repeated here so the two cannot drift.
⚠ Endpoint names are per region, and each regional broker presents a server certificate for its own name, so an endpoint is reachable only under its declared name.
